Everest Advance Base Camp Trek

Everest Advance Base Camp Trek

Start your journey to Tibet with a spectacular flight over the snow capped Himalayan mountains from Kathmandu and pass Mt. Everest, Malaku and Kanchenjunga.
In Lhasa we will provide you with a guided tour of the Potala, the famous palace of the Dalai Lama, Norbulinkha, the great Drepung Monastery and the holy Jokhang Temple where you can stroll through the crowded Tibetan market. We will then drive past the beautiful Turquoise Lake on the way to the historic town of Gyantse with its unique multi-storied Kumbum Stupa. At Shigatse we will walk through the massive Tashilhunpo monastery and visit the memorial 'Chorten' of the late Panchen Lama.
We’ll drive you to Rongbuk Monastery from where you will hike up to the North Everest Base Camp and explore the Rongbuk glacier set directly below the massive north-face of Mount Everest before ascending to Camp 2. After being in such close proximity to the world’s highest mountain you’ll return to Nayalam before returning to Kathmandu in Nepal.
The trek portion of this experience will be supported by a Tibetan or Nepali Sherpa team, including a camp cook who will prepare all meals. All camping equipment will be provided. While trekking, clients carry small day-pack only and walk at easy pace as this trek is designed for a more relaxed pace. All equipment and luggage will be carried by yaks or truck or jeep.
