At Shigatse we will walk through the massive Tashilungpo monastery and visit the memorial 'Chorten' of the late Panchen Lama.
After the cultural aspect of your visit to Tibet you will trek through the little - visited Khangsung Valley to the east of Everest Base Camp, situated below the awesome Khangsung (East) Face of Mt. Everest. Enjoy trekking up the beautiful valley, amongst rich vegetation and flowers, before ascending the high passes to Phetang Ringmo situated in an alpine valley below the East Face of Mount Everest.
